Cabinet of Curiosities

It's taken me a bit to figure out as this is my first campaign, but I finally got everything set up and am ready to send out a Smoke Test. Once I get the last few things set up, I'll be sending out the smoke test to a small handful of backers to make sure things are working fine and then will send out the rest.

I've also sent in my designs to my manu but made a few updates to the designs that will also be reflected in the surveys. The candlestick design is now an antiqued bronze instead of the black nickel since I feel like it gives it more of that old vintage fell and will show off the details better. I also adjusted the Lovers Eye pin color scheme and added a ring to the top to give people the option to wear it as a pendant as well! I am toying with the idea of making a version without the pin posts and have a full necklace with chain option in the future, depending on interest.


I'm so excited to see the whole set in real life! My manu is really good about sending photos during production, so I will for sure share some BTS photos with everyone as I get them!

Now that the campaign has ended, I'm busy in the background getting everything set for the surveys. They should hopefully be going out in the next week or so once BK has approved everything.

With only a few days left of the campaign, we've finally been able to unlock the next pin! As voted on by you, the Pitts River Display Case Pin is live, based on the Pitts River Museum in Oxford, UK. This goal also unlocked a matching stand like the one for the Cabinet ultra pin. The Display Case pin is available as a pledge tier, and both the pin and display case are available as add-ons.

I'm still so blown away by the support I've gotten on this campaign, and I can't wait to start sharing production photos once the campaign ends! 

The results are in and you've all decided that our next stretch goal will be a new cabinet pin design!! It will have a single 3inch wide and 3.5inch tall open space, perfect for showing off the larger pins in your collection. I'm also planning on making a stand for it as well that will be available as an add-on. The pin and stand will unlock at $15,000 and the design will be based on display cases in the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, UK. Artwork coming soon!

I've also enabled Pay-Over-Time as an option at check out to give you all some more options and flexibility. 

With less than 2 weeks to go, who knows what other curiosities we'll uncover!

As we trek forward on our campaign I wanted to leave it to you what comes next for a stretch goal. Below is a poll to decide the next goal will be for you all to vote on. They include a large 3inch Peacock pin, which is a reference to the taxidermy peacock that sits atop the real cabinet in Deyrolle Paris. A new smaller display cabinet with one open area, perfect for the larger 3 inch pins in your collections. A simple modern style cube shelf, with 8 2x2inch square open spaces. And a new color variant of the original Cabinet ultra pin.
I would be so excited to get to create any of these, and who knows, if we keep this train going they might all become a reality!
